On September 9, 2026, the China-Mexico Sports Medicine Exchange and Cooperation Forum (Luzhou), hosted by Delta Medical, was held at the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University. A delegation of Mexican sports medicine specialists joined Chinese experts for an in-depth clinical and academic exchange.

Live Surgery Observation | Demonstrating Arthroscopic Minimally Invasive Expertise

Professor Li Zhong performed a fully arthroscopic revision MPFL reconstruction for recurrent patellar instability. Associate Professor Liu Juncai then demonstrated two procedures: a left knee ACL reconstruction with lateral extra-articular augmentation, lateral meniscus posterior root repair, and medial meniscus posterior horn repair; followed by rotator cuff repair with suture anchors, labral repair, and acromioplasty. The Mexican surgeons discussed key steps with the operating surgeons in real time throughout.

Academic Symposium | Focused Lectures and Clinical Insight

Professor Li Zhong’s team presented “Arthroscopic Treatment of PCL Tibial Insertion Avulsion Fracture”, and Associate Professor Liu Juncai shared “Arthroscopic LHBT Transposition Combined With Dynamic Repair for Massive Rotator Cuff Tears”. The Mexican guests also presented knee surgery cases, with lively discussion after each talk.

Closing Ceremony | Exchange of Gifts and a Vision for Long-Term Cooperation

Professor Li Zhong presented certificates to each visiting physician, and the two sides exchanged gifts. The delegation commented: “Both the exceptional surgical skills in the operating room and the integrated sports-and-health care system have been truly inspiring.
