On September 11, 2026, the China-Mexico Sports Medicine Exchange and Cooperation Forum (Chongqing), hosted by Delta Medical, was successfully held in Chongqing. As the final stop of the forum series, Delta Medical invited the Mexican sports medicine delegation to engage in an in-depth and productive clinical and academic exchange with the Chinese orthopedics and sports medicine team, drawing a successful close to the China-Mexico exchange journey.

Opening Ceremony | Building Consensus for a New Chapter

At the start of the meeting, hospital leader Ms. Zhu Qinlan and Professor Chen Hong extended a warm welcome to the Mexican experts, expressing the hope that the academic discussions and surgical demonstrations would inspire mutual understanding of clinical concepts between the two sides.

The Mexican representative then delivered a speech, expressing sincere gratitude to Delta Medical for its careful organization and to the hospital for its thoughtful arrangements. He said the visit gave him an entirely new understanding of the clinical standards of sports medicine in China, spoke highly of Delta Medical’s efforts to promote international medical exchange, and expressed anticipation of deeper cooperation in the future. In the academic session, Professor Chen Hong presented a lecture entitled “Bony Augmentation Procedures for Anterior Shoulder Instability”, and Professor Wang Dehua shared “ACL Primary Repair and LET for Acute ACL Injury”, both sparking lively discussion among all attending experts. The Mexican guests also presented ACL surgery cases from their own practice.

The discussion session after each presentation was exceptionally animated. The Mexican physicians raised questions based on clinical practice in their home country, and the Chinese team provided targeted answers and practical recommendations one by one. After the discussions, the Chinese side presented certificates of participation to the Mexican visiting physicians to commemorate this remarkable journey of technical learning.

Live Surgery Observation | Hands-On Demonstrations of Surgical Excellence

The delegation then moved to the operating rooms on the sixth floor, where they observed live surgical demonstrations led by Professor Chen Hong and Professor Wang Dehua, including rotator cuff repair, partial meniscectomy, and meniscal repair. Observing at close range, the Mexican surgeons followed the entire operative workflow and engaged in real-time discussions with the operating surgeons on key steps.

From theory to practice, and from the lecture hall to the operating room, the experts held in-depth discussions on surgical decision-making, operative techniques, and perioperative management, achieving a truly seamless alignment of skills and concepts.
