From June 21 to 22, 2025, the 1st MAS Shoulder Arthroscopic Cadaveric Workshop was successfully held at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), organized by the Malaysian Association of Sports Medicine and co-organized by Delta Medical in collaboration with its distributor Arah Tenang. Focusing on practical techniques for shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, and acromioclavicular joint dislocations, the workshop combined educational demonstrations with hands-on training to enhance participants’ understanding and proficiency in arthroscopic procedures.
Empowering Precision in Shoulder Surgery with Delta Solutions
During the lecture sessions, instructors Datuk Dr. Mohd Asri Abd Ghapar and Dr. Siti Hawa Binti Tahir presented real clinical cases to demonstrate the use of various Delta Medical sports medicine products. These included the X-Lock™ PEEK suture anchor, V-Lock™ all-suture anchor, and i-Lock™ PEEK knotless anchor, each offering unique operative techniques and clinical advantages for different types of shoulder repairs. Additionally, the FixButton™ fixation device was highlighted for its pivotal role in acromioclavicular joint reconstruction, helping participating doctors improve procedural standardization and surgical skill.
Hands-On Product Interaction for Enhanced Surgical Insight
In addition to lectures and surgical demonstrations, Delta Medical set up an on-site booth showcasing a selection of shoulder-focused disposable instruments and surgical tools. This allowed physicians to explore product features firsthand and engage in interactive practice. Through this experience, attendees gained a deeper appreciation for the design concepts behind Delta products and discovered practical approaches aligned with clinical needs.
The successful execution of this cadaveric shoulder workshop marks an important step for Delta Medical in strengthening academic collaboration and promoting advanced surgical techniques across Southeast Asia. Looking ahead, Delta Medical remains committed to working alongside global partners to empower physician development and advance sports medicine worldwide.
